This week, the period ending on June 4th, had raw steel production of 1,781,000 net tons. The capability utilization rate was 81.6 percent.The production for the week was 1,840,000 net tons and the capability utilization rate was 82.1 percent. Compared to the same period of the previous year, this week saw a 3.2 percent decrease in production. Compared to the previous week of this year, production is down 0.9 percent.
As for year-to-date production, the period ending June 4th saw 38,874,000 tons of steel produced with a capability utilization rate of 80.6 percent. Compared to the same time period last year, this is a decline of 1.6 percent.
