The capability utilization rate was 81.4 percent.The production for the week was 1,834,000 net tons and the capability utilization rate was 81.0 percent. Compared to the same period of the previous year, this week saw a 3.1 percent decrease in production. Compared to the previous week of this year, production is up 0.1 percent.
As for year-to-date production, the period ending May 7th saw 31,625,000 tons of steel produced with a capability utilization rate of 80.1 percent. Compared to the same time period last year, this is a decline of 1.7 percent.
