This week, the period ending on April 30th, had raw steel production of 1,755,000 tons. The capability utilization rate was 81.3 percent. The production for this week is down 3.2% when compared to the same time frame of the previous year. Compared to the previous week of this year, the week ending on April 23rd, production is down 0.5%.
As for year-to-date production, the period ending April 30th saw 29,848,000 tons of steel produced. Compared to the same time period last year, this is a decline of 1.6 percent.
